GOLD PLATED

Storage & Preservation

  • Remove your jewelry before swimming, gardening, bathing, or sleeping. Water can be very harsh on metals.
  • Remove your jewelry before participating in activities that will cause you to sweat a lot.
  • Avoid storing gold-plated jewelry in the bathroom or humid environments. Humidity is very bad for metals + will cause them to tarnish.
  • Wait to put on your jewelry until after you have applied lotion, makeup or perfume
  • Store your plated jewelry where it won’t rub against other hard substances (a soft bag—one per piece of jewelry—is ideal + included! :) ).

Cleaning Your Jewelry

  • Wipe your gold plated jewelry after each use, using a soft cloth to remove any dirt or debris. (The jewelry bag provided can serve both as a storage bag + soft wiping cloth)
  • You may also soak it for a few minutes in warm, soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth as needed (or a soft toothbrush to clean small cracks + crevices).

BRASS

Storage & Preservation

  • Remove your jewelry before swimming, gardening, bathing, or sleeping. Water can be very harsh on metals.
  • Avoid storing brass jewelry in the bathroom or humid environments. Humidity is very bad for metals + will cause them to tarnish.
  • To store your metal jewelry, wrap each piece in soft fabric and store in an airtight bag. (The jewelry bag provided can serve both as a storage bag + soft wiping cloth)

Cleaning Your Jewelry

  • We suggest using either a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner or mild soap + water on your metal jewelry. Always make sure to wipe off with water + dry your jewelry completely after cleaning.
  • Do not use any products that contain alcohol, this can ruin the finish.
  • If your jewelry is really tarnished, you can use a mix of baking soda, lemon juice + water. Scrub it on with a soft cloth or toothbrush, wipe off, + dry.
  • After cleaning, you can buff your jewelry with a soft cloth to give it a nice finish.
